Welcome to our gorgeous new General Manager Darren. He's been with the team for 4 years now and really knows his stuff, so was the obvious choice to take over from Rich who has now gone to run our new pub in Fulmer.

Darren always has a smile on his face and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble, but even though he is such a fantastic chap, we wouldn't be without our newly appointed and quite scrumptious Deputy Anna and lovely Assistant Manager Amy.

Rupes, our Head Chef came to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience from all around the globe. He's a true gastropub devotee and though his style is light, the flavours are knockout. Best of all he seem's to have found a true home here at The Alford.

Then there is our secret weapon, the truly superb front of house team. Whilst the pub is lauded for it's food and drink, the compliments abound for our staff. They thrive on being busy, yet always keep their wit and humour with them and manage to make every customer feel special. As The Saturday Telegraph put it "this place has the same sort of feel-good factor as a Richard Curtis movie."
